Avenue A | Razorfish Boston Moves to Fort Point Area

09.17.07

Boston, Sept. 17, 2007 - Avenue A | Razorfish, one of the largest interactive agencies in the world, today announced that the company has moved its nearly 40-person Boston team to 280 Summer St., in the Fort Point area of Boston. Fort Point, located in South Boston and blocks away from Faneuil Hall, has long been home to a thriving artist community and is undergoing rapid development. Avenue A | Razorfish has been a local player in the interactive industry since 1995 and was recently ranked the largest Web design agency by revenue in Boston.1

"Due to the continued acceleration of the digital industry, we have outgrown our current space, and are aggressively seeking more digital marketing and technology professionals to fill our new office and support our expanding business in the Boston market," said Ryan Alderman, vice president and client partner of Avenue A | Razorfish, Boston. "Historically, the Boston market has been a hotbed of creative and technological innovation. We're fortunate to be able to tap into a rich talent pool to attract leaders who are excited to be on the forefront of the digital revolution."

Previously located at 210 Broadway in Cambridge, Mass., the move expands the Avenue A | Razorfish footprint in Boston from 5,000 to 10,000 square feet, providing sufficient space to accommodate employee expansion over the next one to three years. A recognized leader in the digital community in Boston, Avenue A | Razorfish's local clients include the New England Journal of Medicine and Prudential Financial Inc. Its employees are active members in the Boston Interactive Marketing Association, the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX), the Usability Professionals' Association, the American Association of Advertising Agencies and other Boston-area groups.

The appeal of the resurgent Fort Point area, with its close proximity to the waterfront, rich history and large concentration of visual artists, restaurants and boutiques, makes it the ideal location for a creative digital agency such as Avenue A | Razorfish. The interior space was redesigned to meet the unique needs of a digital media and technology company, with innovative amenities such as a game room, pervasive wireless access and Internet phones. Boston-based Silverman Trykowski Associates Inc. handled the redesign of the interiors.
